Alice J. Lee 이정연 is a second-generation Korean-American, and her two languages and cultures shape her artistic practice. Through interactive installations, books, 2-dimensional print, and time-based media, Lee investigates linguistic and cultural in-between spaces, visualized and explored in the Korean and English alphabets. Lee's research contributes to the creation of a visual, historical account of the Asian American experience, encouraging viewers to experience the challenges and possibilities of the in-between.
